PLAYdiplomacy.com, started in December 2007, was the first to offer a fully developed interactive point-and-click interface. Upon clicking on a unit the available options are displayed on the screen, eliminating the need to enter the correct order syntax.
PLAYdiplomacy include the option to play speed games (with turns every 10 minutes) and is the only website to offer a range of optional rule variants (Fleet Rome, Build Anywhere, Age Of Empires, Chaos).
With regards to how the regular game is played on the website, PLAYdiplomacy attempts to adhere to the original rules of the boardgame as closely as possible.
