Plakatt is a free service for publishing and finding events. Users are able to not only post events they are interested in, but browse existing ones and have an overview of the happenings in their or any other city for that matter. Venue owners and PR managers, also event organizers will be able to find a new way to communicate with their audience through Plakatt. Plakatt also has a social component which is reflected through the ability to add and “follow” your contacts’ activities, RSVP–ing and inviting others to events, writing comments, reviews, adding photos and videos. All information on Plakatt is — as opposed to e.g. Facebook — completely open and searchable by Google and other search engines, which is a huge advantage for event and venue promoters.
