Pitaya-Media GmbH, located in Cologne, Germany, is a young publisher for the development, production and worldwide distribution of digital and printed media. The company has its main focus on the combination of the two growth segments „digital media“ and „cooking and nutrition“. In close cooperation with award winning chefs and professional food photographers fascinating digital products such as cookbooks, encyclopaedias and culinary travel guides are created. Pitaya-Media GmbH is the first company of its kind to develop premium and ambitious cooking apps for smartphones such as the iPhone, G1 and other appliances, which are also available in various languages.
The first product, “Patrik’s Easy Cookingâ€, has been developed in cooperation with the German celebrity chef Patrik Jaros and the food-photographer Günter Beer. It totally differs from ordinary cookbooks; it is a cooking application for Smartphones, which contains over 70 modern recipes that have been created by Patrik Jaros himself. Thanks to the illustrated instructions, the dishes can be duplicated easily. The recipes are extraordinary, though easy and quickly to realize. A special focus is on the creative utilization of leftovers.
