Panopta’s core monitoring functionality provides high frequency checks every 60 seconds from our global monitoring network (currently 24 locations in North and South America, Europe and Asia) to ensure that all outages, regardless of duration, are detected.
Once outages are detected, a number of notification options are available to ensure that the right people know about the problem. Email, SMS and voice alerts can be sent out an a configurable notification timeline, allowing automatic escalation of the problem to wider ranges of staff.
Additionally, outage management tools allow operations teams to more efficiently manage outages, making it easy for everyone involved to work together, including system administrators, call center staff and management, and resolve problems faster without getting in each other’s way.
The service is fully hosted on Panopta’s distributed monitoring infrastructure and requires no software or hardware installation, and with automatic configuration tools customers can be up monitoring their entire network in minutes.
