Mixm8 is a new virtual world aimed at music lovers being developed by Outso. Mixm8 will deliver value to the mp3 experience which has been diminished through piracy and illegal downloads. In Mixm8 you will be able to meet new friends, organize and attend music gigs and create your own apartment to entertain in and share your musical passions. These individual spaces can be personalized with furniture, décor and works of art. Commitment has already been shown to the current prototype by online shops and holders of back catalogues such as Xpressbeats, Ninja Tune and War Child as well as independent, alternative artists such as Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip.
Outso are launching a micro site 13 January as a forerunner to the virtual world which is due winter 2009.
