QuantaStor Cloud Edition is a special edition for Managed Hosting and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) which supports the pay-as-you-go license model. It comes with a special license service which is deployed on-premises with the CSP so that they can fully automate the deployment and licensing of new QuantaStor physical and virtual storage appliance instances. The license service then reports back to OS NEXUS periodically to facilitate charge-back accounting. CSPs utilize their own hardware to deploy QuantaStor Cloud Edition in their data-centers as per the QuantaStor HCL guidelines.

QuantaStor E Series systems are unified storage systems (SAN/NAS) with an innovative scale-out management technology called QuantaGrid and includes optional SSD caching for IO intensive high-performance applications. Designed initially for customers in Media & Entertainment the systems achieve very high performance numbers (>2GB/sec sustained R/W) through a stripped down IO architecture which utilizes high-end RAID controllers from LSI and XFS. QuantaStor directly integrates management of technologies like LSI CacheCade Pro 2.0 to deliver ultra-high ease of use and performance characteristics typical of systems which are 3-4x more expensive.
