MCX Office Phone has a smartphone application, which supports iPhone, Android Blackberry and Symbian. The Linux server sits in the cloud. MCX supports any cloud OS, and is currently running in VMware, Amazon and Applogic.

OnRelay has patented its use of parallel end-to-end voice and data connections to resolve Fixed Mobile Convergence for PBX systems. The patent covers the fundamental Mobile Cloud Exchange system architecture and all basic call flow methods of the MCX system, including its seamless routing of mobile calls in both directions via PBX systems (including Centrex). Its patent for the MCX system has priority from 2000 (US patent no 6,993,360). The patent is currently referenced in 21 US patents from the likes of AT&T, Sprint, Cisco, Avaya, NEC, Nokia, Motorola and Ericsson.
