NewsWhip reveals the world’s news conversation as it happens.

Each day, millions of social network users point the way to the most exciting and engaging content on the web. NewsWhip maps all of these sharing actions to build a map, in real time, of what matters to the world. NewsWhip monitors the real time traction of over 200,000 pieces of content a day, and clusters content together by source country and topic and shows what is trending now in niches such as fashion, soccer, health and psychology.

NewsWhip’s pro dashboard, Spike, gives newsrooms a granular overview of what’s trending across different topics, publications, and times. It allows newsrooms, content marketers and others to search for trending news stories around any topic, view what’s trending for competitors, and know what matters now to fans of any niche.

NewsWhip’s site, NewsWhip.com puts a social filter on the entire news web, and shows only the news stories that are getting shared the most.

As of November 2012, NewsWhip tracks content created in English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. The company is based in DogPatch Labs in Dublin, Ireland and Union Square, New York.
