In April of 2005, Myrio became a division of Siemens Communications. Siemens acquired Myrio Corporation to enhance the Siemens Home Entertainment Solution for IPTV. Myrio offered an IPTV solution for telecommunications providers looking to add video services to their service offerings. Myrio built on an open standards solution architecture, allowing interoperability of core components such as set-top boxes, access networks and 3rd party applications.
