ModernMethod develops topical community-oriented websites lead by staffed editors.

To date, they have built sites about video games, anime, and collectible toys that are “Elephant Powered”, which refers to their proprietary publishing system “ElephantBlog”. The software is built on PHP/MySQL from the ground-up and claims to be similar to AOL/WebLogs Inc. BlogSmith product

ModernMethod was founded in 1999 as a web development company by Yanier Gonzalez and Thomas Lackner, who met in a high school programming class. After a short-term partnership with advertising agency Worldmedia, the company was reinvented as a self-publishing start-up in March 2006.
