Mobovivo is a entertainment software company that helps the television and film industry market and monetize content. Mobovivo has created a white-label platform, StayTuned, that is like Netflix for our customers brands. Neilsen’s reports that up to 86% of mobile Internet users access the web and apps while watching TV and 92% of those aged 13-24, are using “second screens” while they watch TV. In addition, 31% of all Internet use and 30% of tablet use takes place in front of the TV. During prime time (8:00 to 10:00 pm), 50% of Americans are using smart phone and tablet apps which has completely overtaken the web (30%) and quickly gaining on TV (63%). This is a significant problem for the TV and film business. Users are being drawn to second screens and engaged in ways that we have never seen. The industry is at risk of losing their audience to email, Facebook and games.
