Moblog is a mobile blogging community site which also provides online and mobile web blogging utilities to clients.
Moblog is a consumer facing mobile blogging community site whose members can post to the site using SMS, MMS, Email, Web/Mobile Browser, and through Spinvox voice to text service.
Moblog licenses mobile blogging technologies in two ways - through ‘promoblogs’ that exist within Moblog itself and through platform installations, eg: http://bigartmob.com
Moblog re-launched on a new platform in July 2008, with a more mass market approach. Moblog is currently a privately held and funded company.
Member subscriptions are paid monthly or yearly at £5 per month or £55 per year. Subscribers have higher upload limits (20mb), do not have adverts drawn on their moblogs, and a range of other facilities including the ability to run their moblogs from their own URL’s.
The platform provides a range of facilities including MMS/SMS blogging, integrated geocoding, tagging and widgets.
Promoblogs are branded moblog sites which can operate within Moblog itself and/or from any other domain on the web or mobile web.
Promoblogs are licensed to Moblog’s clients to create mobile blogging sites on the web and mobile, most often around a campaign, product launch or service.
