MobileGlobe has developed an application to reduce your international call costs from your a smartphone.
It was founded in 2005 by a French entrepreneur Yoann Valensi along with Next Fund Capital. Renaud Amiel, ex-Boston Consulting Group partner who specialized in telecom, is now the CEO of the company.
With MobileGlobe, you just dial the number you wish to call as usual and the application will automatically recognize if it is a local or an international call. Whether the call is going to be local or long distance, the call will be seamlessly rerouted at a better rate. Saving can reach 90%.
It works on BlackBerry, iPhone, Java devices and the Android version is available on beta.
