miRagen Therapeutics was founded in 2007 to improve patients’ lives by developing innovative microRNA (miRNA) based therapeutics for the treatment of cardiovascular and muscle disease. miRNAs, a recently discovered class of small RNAs encoded in the genome, are short, single-stranded RNA molecules that regulate gene expression with the potential to play a vital role in influencing the pathways responsible for cardiovascular and muscle disorders.
