Mind Taffy Design specializes in highly data-optimized, client-side rendered new media content design and development for leading international brands and manufacturers.
Hardware Platforms upon which content programming is delivered includes PCs and Laptops, Mobile Phones and Smart Phones, PDAs and UMPCs, e-Signage and Digital Signage, Set-Top Boxes and Home Media Center Appliances, and similar devices. Content programming leverages DSP hardware technologies inside the hardware including the GPU for OpenGL, MIDI and Audio Synthesizer for OpenAL and Speech Synthesis, and DV codecs for ipTV.
Open Source Platforms used to display the content include all popular browsers (IE, NS, FireFox, Opera, Chrome, Flock, etc.), Mobile Browsers (OperaMini and Opera Mobile), Cross-Platform Content Deployment Platforms (JavaFX and Java3D for Browser, PC and Mobile) and Game Deployment Platforms (Torque for PC, Mac, Linux, Wii, xBox, iPhone, PSP) amongst others.
Mind Taffy Design content is characterized by interactive photoreal uncompressed (looking) graphics often rendered on the client-side in data footprints ranging from 8KB to under 1MB. Clients include the largest international companies (Sony, Samsung, Tyco, Nokia, IBM, SUN, DEC, DELL, Mitsubishi, Epson, TEAC, CTX, KDS, Micron, Compaq, SGI, Western Digital, ViewSonic, etc.) and brands (Trinitron, Nexio, Nav-U, EloTouch, etc.).
Mind Taffy Design recent projects include two HD touchscreen i3D brandgames for Tyco Electronics and the innovative HD ipTV Live Concert streaming website www.MyHDTVclub.com which is slated to feature artists from MTV, Disney, InterScope, Warner, Universal, Live Nation, Sony BMG and several other networks. The entire site is already optimized for mobile viewing and is less than 1MB in data footprint.
