MicroStrain® is based in Williston, Vermont and is a privately held corporation. Founded in 1987, their early development focused on producing micro-displacement sensors for strain measurement in biomechanics research applications. Their first sensors were designed for arthroscopic implantation on human knee ligaments; since then, they expanded their product line through continual product improvement.
