Mevio (previously PodShow until April 2008) is a digital entertainment site focused on bringing video and audio podcasts to its viewers. Mevio acts in part as a social network, music store and a podcast index as well.
The site hosts numerous channels and shows ranging from topics such as Business, Comedy and Fashion to News, Politics and Music. In addition to viewing content on the network, users can also create their own podcasts to be distributed through their personal profiles as well as the rest of the site.
In September of 2007 the company announced an alliance with TiVO and plans to push its content to TiVo’s 10-12 million large American audience.
As of April 2008, Miveo broadcasted 14,000 shows and generated 90 million streams per month to 5 million unique visitors per month.
