Meebo started as an instant messenger aggregator platform in September 2005 by Sandy Jen, Seth Sternberg, and Elaine Wherry. Meebo is backed by True Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Jafco Ventures, and Khosla Ventures.
