Luna Ergonomics develops new usability technologies to type conveniently on the mobile phone in languages of the world.
Two product lines
Panini Keypad : An integrated platform to type in 11 major languages of India on the mobile phone. These languages are Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi (Gurmukhi), Assamese. It also offers automatic transliteration between each of these languages and finally offers SMS compression which increases the payload of the SMS by 300%.
Panini Keypad was the winner of the Judges Choice award at NOKIA innovations (Sep 09) for being amongst the top 10 innovations from Emerging Economies and Mobile Necessities.
CleverTexting is a new usability of typing in major languages of the world where characters are predicted and placed at positions most ergonomic to the texting thumb to type in. The predictions are done from the statistical nature of the language instead of its dictionary and hence it provides equal performance for dictionary as well as non dictionary words.
CleverTexting was the cover story of the Ergonomist Society, UK in Mar 2009 for being a first initiative towards an ergonomic mobile keypad.
CleverTexting has been developed for English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Swahili, Hebrew, Finnish and Russian and work in ongoing on others. SMS compression is offered in each.
