Lost Crates

Lost Crates is a subscription service that delivers design-inspired goods from around the world straight to members’ doors.

The company currently offers eight themed curated crate subscriptions: Angie’s Picks, Eco, Foodie, Housewares, Jack’s Picks, Found In:, Stationery, and Petite Stationery. Members can choose to subscribe to one or more of these themes and receive crates either monthly or quarterly. Customers may also take the Lost Crates Quiz, which matches users with a crate type based on their preferences. Lost Crates also has an a la carte shop that allows members to purchase individual items from the different crates.

Lost Crates was founded in March 2011 by Danny Levi and Millie Tadewaldt. In February 2012, the company, which was previously a stationery-only service, underwent a relaunch to feature more options and to appeal to a wider audience.

Lost Crates is backed by Chicago-based venture capital firm and new business incubator Sandbox Industries.
