Limelight Networks specializes in content delivery network (CDN) systems that power many popular sites on the net, including Facebook, Microsoft.com, and Msnbc.com. Limelight provides quality content delivery for many different types of uses ranging from video and music to games and graphic design. Limelight was founded in the summer of 2001 in Tempe, Arizona. They compete with established CDNs like Akamai and up and coming CDNs like EdgeCast Networks.
