LightInTheBox Holdings Co., Ltd. operates a B2C e-commerce website selling a variety of products sourced in China and sold to customers all over the globe.
Lighinthebox is a domestic online B2B B2C (internally called L2C, LightInTheBox 2 Customer) platform that integrates supply chain services. By leveraging the long tail, Lighinthebox presently offers tens of thousands of commodities for overseas purchase, which are concentrated in three fields: consumer electronics dominated by cell phones and digital products, customized garments and sports, and cultural goods. It completed its acquisition of the 3C e-business website Ouku.com in June 2010. It has a number of suppliers as well as its own data warehouse and long-term logistics partners.
Lighinthebox offers a wide range of products from apparel, fashion accessories, electronics, and home and garden accessories to sports equipment, a total of more than 60,000 kinds of commodities. After several years of development, Lightinthebox has a large number of suppliers throughout China, including Guangdong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Shandong, Beijing and other provinces, and it has garnered a strong reputation. Its partners and suppliers include Newman, Patriot, Founder Technology, Yadu, Shenzhou Computer.
Lightinthebox was founded in 2007 with registered capital of USD 3 million, ranking domestic number one among foreign trade websites. It has received several rounds of VC funding, totalling 51.27 million dollars. On June 6, 2013, Lightinthebox was listed on New York Stock Exchange.
LightInTheBox serves customers from over 200 countries worldwide (as of FY2012), with over 1 million daily foreign visitors and 2 million daily page views.
Major rivals are AliExpress and E-bay.
