Kimengi is a recommendation technology company that builds a smarter web.
In September 2008, they launched their first public bèta version of f»dforward (feedforward), a widget based recommendation network. When added to your blog or title, the widget will create a recommendation service for all your posts, similar to related content sections, but based on both social and semantic algorithms. The most unique advantage of f»dforward is that all widgets are webapps that can work together in a network. That is how it can serve suggestions from your own blog, but also from your friends blogs and other blogs you like to read or endorse. And vice versa.
An API version for joining the network will become available as well.
f»dforward on your site creates more traction, improves the quality of your audience and can make suggestions for how to write better suited content through analytics. It brings more value to your blog!
Kimengi announced earlier that f»dforward will be extended with social analytics of a whole new standard. Where other social tools only tell you about what people talk about, f»dforward will tell you what people actually read about. Thanks to the social analytics of f»dforward you will get to know your (potential) audience in the best way possible.
To support the expected scale and realtime nature of the f»dforward network, Kimengi develops a new type of recommendation engine. Current engines and algorithms need to strike a balance between performance and scale, sacrificing the quality of recommendations to service a large audience. The Kimengi engine is built for fast and realtime recommendations in highly adaptive environments, like f»dforward, without this loss of quality.
