Kerchoonz is “A modern Record Deal†for bands and artists where fans can listen to music for free, but the bands get paid for each stream via an advertising share that they receive from the site. Bands can also sell their music directly from their profile player and set the price for their own download sales.
Kerchoonz also offers an online shop for bands, allowing bands to sell not only their digital downloads, but also their physical CD’s, T-shirts, even their old gear through their own social networking profile on the site as well as in K’Ching, the new on-line direct sale and auction shop at http://www.kerchoonz.com/kching Regular non-artist members can also sell used and new items on Kching and set up a store on their Kerchoonz profile.
Bands and fans can join Kerchoonz using their Facebook ID and connect their Facebook with Kerchoonz. Got a new song? Upload it to Kerchoonz and it automatically updates both your Kerchoonz feed and your Facebook feed! New video, new blog or new gig dates? Post it to Kerchoonz and it will quickly show up in your Facebook friend’s feed!
Kerchoonz is also partnering with Twitter. So, members will be able to easily retweet songs, videos and even links to their store and products that they are selling.
Kerchoonz helps artists spread the word quickly giving them record company tools like K-widgets (mini websites that can be pasted all over the web to help artists promote their music). Kerchoonz also promotes its artists and bands web-wide through events like Kerchoonz Live and online PR strategies that help get your bands material out in front of radio, press and promoters.
