Jingle Networks

Jingle Networks is a media network offering a free directory assistance service called 1-800-FREE411.

Consumers dial 1-800-FREE411 (1-800-373-3411) from any phone in the United States to use the toll-free service, which allows callers to obtain any residential, business, or government phone number for no charge. Sponsors cover the service cost by playing short advertising messages, about 12 seconds long, customized based on the number the customer is looking up.

The company was founded by veteran advertising and technology executives.

1-800-FREE411 was created to provide callers with a free alternative to the skyrocketing rates being charged by phone companies for directory assistance (411).

The service is made possible by thousands of national and local businesses who sponsor this service with brief audio advertisements that are played to callers who request businesses in their yellow pages category. This advertising model allows businesses to acquire new customers over the phone. Meanwhile callers get free directory assistance.

They do not have live operators anymore but I recently tried the service again and they found my number on the first try! It was super easy!

Called the number and tested it. It was able to retrieve the information I asked for. The marketing messages were short and did not bother me in the least bit.

Operators claim they cannot understand my requests. After a time they hang up.I have never been able to receive a requested number.
