jaded Pixel are the creators of Shopify, a hosted e-commerce application. jaded Pixel was founded by Tobias Lutke and Scott Lake in 2005, with Shopify available to the general public in 2006.
Shopify allows the user to easily create an account for their online store, upload your products, manage your collections, set up your payment gateways and view your orders and completed transactions. Users can set up a trial account at no charge, whereby they can upload their products, modify their interface, and complete up to 5 transactions prior to requiring a payment.
Shopify has three levels of payment plans: Basic, Professional and Enterprise, each with differing features and different monthly pricing.
Shopify is based out of Ottawa, Canada, and currently employs 9 people. There are 29,000 Shopify stores currently in existence.
