Ipadio aims to become the voice of the web, offering an easy way of phonecasting live to the web from any phone, from anywhere in the world.
All phlogs (phone blogs) can be viewed at this site (unless, of course, they’ve been directed elsewhere - ipadio can be tailored to meet organisation’s specific requirements, such as appearing in different places or kept within an intranet)
Phlogs can be shared across any number of social sites, photos added, tags, geolocation – everything you’d expect of a social app. The sharing can also be set up automatically.
There’s no need to download anything, although iphone users can download a funky little app free from the Apps store which offers the choice of automatic geolocation and extra picture uploads.

Ipadio is a technology that takes any phone call and streams it live to the web. A number of applications have been developed based on ipadio’s core technology.
Phonecasting or ‘Phlogging’ (phone blogging) allows a registered ipadio user to create a series of phlogs, much as one would create a blog. A community of phonecasters exists on ipadio.com, with many people also embedding their phlogs on their own web sites with a flash player (similar to embedding a YouTube video), so their visitors do not have to visit ipadio.com to hear them.
Whilst ipadio can be used by any phone, an iPhone application has been launched.
Ipadio’s functionality includes:
Ipadio also has many applications in the internal communications field. Ipadio technology has been used by a number of big name clients, including Virgin Media and ERM.
Virgin Media use ipadio to host ‘FieldTalk’, a bi-monthly interactive broadcast between the CEO and 3500 staff on the ground. The CEO simply dials a number and employees can listen in, whether they’re desk based computer users or men in vans servicing Virgin’s network using their mobile phones. Employees can then interact with the CEO through DTMF voting or a voicemail-like message system at the end of each call.
