The 1st Annual INTERNATIONAL MOVIE TRAILER FESTIVAL (IMTF) is an online contest that celebrates the art of the movie trailer. Entrants are invited to submit trailers for movies they’ve shot or trailers for movies they dream of making some day. All genres are accepted, including documentaries.
Entries will be shown 24/7 in our virtual theater with an advanced database that allows fans, producers, and exhibitors to find the trailers in a variety of ways.
The top awards—including the Grand Prize of $5,000—will be determined by a jury of industry experts including Scott Rosenfelt, producer of MYSTIC PIZZA. There is a $1000 prize for the best trailer for a movie not yet made as well as $1000 prize for a trailer for a produced movie.
The People’s Choice Award will be made by visitors to the site. There’s a special student prize of $500 plus a $500 grant for the student’s school.
Joining the online community gives access to free resources including video tips from expert filmmakers plus the book “Moviemaking Illustrated.â€A Best-of-the-Festival reel will be shown online and at selected festivals.
