| Description | Transmedia production company |
Innovent is a transmedia production company connecting media to audiences, brands to content, and sponsorship opportunities to brands. Innovent works on projects in the areas of independent film, interactive art and educational installations; and independent fundraising for artistic and performing groups, and humanitarian, cultural, and environmental causes.
Innovent’s transmedia platforms include immersive web presence and social media presence, guerrilla and traditional marketing, specialized content creation (web, print, and grant) writing, iOS and Android mobile applications, and scenarios relying on Near Field Communication (NFC) hotspots and geolocation technology.
Innovent co-founders Antonio Kaplan and Elise Baugh, CEO and CCO, respectively, took part in Pandemic 1.0, the first transmedia project at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011. After founding Innovent, they found themselves involved again with a project invited twice to Sundance - “Question Bridge: Black Males,” an art installation that questions black male identity. The artist-producers behind Question Bridge were invited at the Sundance New Frontier Story Labs Oct. 2011, and again at the 2012 edition of the Sundance Film Festival New Frontier line up.
