The Incubator for Nanotechnology Ventures, Emerging Sciences, and Technologies (INVEST) is a nanotechnology incubator established in 2005 by Russell Sage College and Evident Technologies, Inc., a pioneer and world leader in the development of quantum dots. Quantum dots are semiconductor nanomaterials engineered for the creation of advanced products in the life sciences, energy, solid state lighting, security and telecommunications markets. The Sage INVEST incubator provides space and resources to help high-tech companies such as Evident grow and expand, while advancing Sage’s programs in science, technology and business.
INVEST, with occupant-ready laboratory facilities, is located within John Paine Hall on the Russell Sage College campus in downtown Troy, NY. The laboratories of INVEST and Evident Technologies connect to state-of-the-art chemistry labs on the third floor of Science Hall on the Russell Sage campus. Students also have the opportunity to intern at INVEST, where they gain real-world experience.
