IGLOO is a Canadian software company that develops online community and social networking solutions for groups, teams and organizations of various sizes. Delivered over the web using a software as a service (SaaS) delivery model, companies can use IGLOO to connect people, processes and information across organizational and geographical boundaries.

Their community solutions are built on top of their patent pending Web 2.0 community platform. The platform combines social networking, collaboration and content management features into a community suite. Products include:

• Hosting Services — community solutions are delivered on-demand and hosted in their CICA 5970 & SAS 70 (Type II) compliant data centre
• Consulting — industry proven methodologies and approaches for community deployments
• Design — design packages from simple to complex
• E-engagement — proven community facilitation, management and engagement strategies
• Support Services — end user, facilitator and administrator support programs

IIGLOO has almost 50 team members located in Toronto, Waterloo and Ottawa. IGLOO is funded by RBC Venture Partners. Jim Balsillie is Chair of the IGLOO board.
