Identified is a data and analytics company that pioneered the development of the Identified Score. Identified Score is a measurement of how in demand your professional background is to companies right now. Thousands of companies and tens of thousands of people access Identified Scores each day to evaluate professionals for recruiting, sales, networking, background checks, and a number of other purposes. Over 50 million professionals have Identified Scores and the database is growing by over 1 million profiles per day. Identified’s goal is to make the Identified Score the standard measure of relevance in the professional world. The Identified Score is helping professionals connect with other professionals, companies find employees, and professionals find future employers.
Identified was founded by Stanford University students Adeyemi Ajao and Brendan Wallace as a research project between the engineering school and MBA program. A ‘pilot’ version of Identified was launched at Stanford in the spring of 2010 and grew explosively across the campus. In less than a week, 90% of Stanford students were using Identified and the university administration unsuccessfully attempted to shut down the rapidly-growing site. Subsequently, Identified raised a $5.5 million financing from Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Bill Draper, Tim Draper, Stanford professors Joel Peterson and John Glynn, Facebook executive Chamath Palihapitiya, Digital Sky Technologies’ Alexander Tamas, and Farmville Founder Zao Yang.
Identified launched its beta product to the public in September 2011. The company currently has 25 employees and is based in San Francisco.
