Pursuitist is a destination site for the affluent that curates the good things in life, from travel, food, style, leisure and gadgets. The site features acclaimed writers sharing their favorite travel destinations, restaurants, events, experiences and luxury brands. Contributors sharing their favorite luxuries include Gretchen Kelly (New York Post, Frommers), Erica Swallow (Mashable,, Carrie Coolidge (Luxist, Forbes), Paul Carr (The Guardian, TechCrunch), Shandana Durrani (Condé Nast Traveler, Glamour), Leila Cohan-Miccio (Saveur) and many more.

Pursuitist is luxury redefined. It’s about finding and sharing the good things in life. To inspire, educate and be relevant. Pursuitist is one destination site with 9 targeted sections (Arts, Auto, Epicurean, Family, Green, House, Style, Tech and Travel) best described as an online mashup of The Huffington Post and Conde Nast Publishing.

Pursuitist is a targeted platform for luxury advertisers to connect and engage with affluent consumers. Advertising is managed by Robb Report, and advertisers have included Burberry, Rolls-Royce, Coach, BMW, Johnnie Walker, Chase Bank, Audemars Piguet, Broadmoor Hotel and Cosmopolitan Hotel. Pursuitist readers are affluent – 65% of the readers have an annual income of $75k and up.

Upcoming functionality to the site will include community reviews, luxury ranking, flash sales, Facebook integration and on-the-go recommendations with the Pursuitist iPhone App.

The initial launch was self-funded. For the expansion into mobile and user-generated reviews, the next financing round will be expanded to include angel investors.
