Hotlist, founded by Gianni Martire, Chris Mirabile and Eugene Jen in late 2008 (launched to friends in September 2009), is a location based social networking site, fully integrated with Facebook Connect, that enables users to find out “what’s going on” amongst their friends and networks. The site’s main feature set is designed to keep friends in the loop, find what’s popular and view the social scene at any venue. The site provides detailed analytics (guy-to-girl ratio, age groups, university affiliations) and photos of the crowd expected to attend any venue. The site is community driven, and caters exclusively to college students and alumni.
