HireAHelper.com is a website that allows home owners to search for and hire low cost labor in their local area. Home owners can find “helpers” to do any variety of tasks around their house that they would normally do themselves. The Helpers generally are people of college age who are looking to make extra money in their spare time. HireAHelper matches its helpers with locals who will pay more than a college job would, but less than a professional would make. Theoretically, both sides win. HireAHelper brings the two parties together in the easiest way possible and takes a 15% commission from the helpers for advertising their services and processing the credit cards. Funds are collected through the site and then direct deposited to the helpers bank account.HireAHelper has a good idea that could unfortunately work very well through social networks like Facebook, or even better through Craigslist. Being able to find cheap local help is a great asset, but not necessarily one which will drive in big user numbers for a new entry to the larger classified ads market.
