HEMS Technology is in the smart energy business of making appliances and office equipment energy smart and interactive.
We specialize strictly in this niche market to small business office environments with potential building and home automation connections. We are unique in our approach to product and solution in that we strive to create a complete electrical ecosystem or smart grid at the consumer level that is stand-alone with links to local utilities. We do so by using smart sockets throughout the building, forming a low cost wireless electrical sensing network for real time control and management of energy consumption. The server is designed to allow Demand Respond/Demand Side Management from the electric utility.
The HEMS 220™ AC Receptacle has two independent monitoring plugs which allow for separate appliances to be monitored and scheduled for ON/OFF.
It basically is two of our single HEMS 220 Plug-In within one enclosure. The device operates just like any standard wall receptacle but has the additional function of tracking the electricity use of an appliance. It provides for remote monitoring and remote ON/OFF and scheduling, equipment energy efficiency and many other options. Each HEMS 220 AC receptacle has a unique ZigBee Pro radio for wireless mesh networked communications.
