Harvard Law School is a professional graduate school for legal education in the United States. The school prepares students for success in law practice, business, public service, teaching, and more through its J.D. (Juris Doctor) degrees, LL.M. (Master of Laws), S.J.D. (Doctor of Juridical Science), and other joint degree programs, coordinated
programs, and concurrent degree opportunities with other schools. The Law School community is also home to numerous research programs and engaging publications, including books, scholarly periodicals newsletters and a weekly student newspaper. Harvard Law School is an ivy league school.
Approximately 1,900 students attend HLS each year with more than 100 full-time professors and more than 150 visiting professors, lecturers on law, and instructors. The school is the oldest continually-operating law school in the United States and is home to the largest academic law library in the world.
