Gridjit is a social portal that allows users to turn their list of Twitter friends into a grid view. It was initially created by Ray Grieselhuber of San Diego based Firewatching Media for his own personal use.
The site offers users a clean layout and the ability to directly post or reply “tweets”. Ray has plans for adding many features, including more customizable layouts, and even support for networks outside of the “Twitterverse”.
Gridjit went offine on May 31, 2008 because of a problem with the Twitter API. They reworked the site to allow for the changes, and came back in private alpha in late June 2008 with new features, including the ability to see your FriendFeed timeline, in addition to your Twitter.
