Green Decisions is a product comparison service providing information about purchase prices, energy cost and environmental impact for buying decisions.
Initially focused on electricity consumption and carbon dioxide emissions Green Decisions shows the actual cost of owning and running a product over time. A key differentiator is the user-centric approach calculating the cost based on actual rates of a users’ local utility company, the utilities’ carbon emissions intensity and the specific power consumption of each product.
Green Decisions will provide an API enabling shopping and content sites to show the real cost of running things. Upcoming developments include mobile applications, water & gas consumption as well as business procurement.
