Goober Networks offers an instant messaging client for Windows (and soon Mac, Linux and celular phones) that can also be used for VoIP calls and SMS. It competes with MSN Messenger, ICQ, Yahoo Messenger and other popular clients, although Goober is cross-protocol and can be used to communicate with users on these systems as well.

The Goober client has a powerful widget wizard included. Besides communication widgets for the popular social networks it can generate eMail Widgets as well. The widgets can be fully customized to users needs.

The Goober client can be used to play video and audio found on the web. It also offers long distance VoIP services like those associated with Jajah.

Goober Networks has bootstrapped its funding.
