Glympse

Glympse is a new mobile social service that allows people with GPS enabled smartphones to visually share their location on a map or satellite image. The service shows a username (optional) and profile photo (optional), current location, and any movement or recent location history (ie, on a highway moving at 46 mph, if applicable) and estimated arrival time (if destination is entered). Glympse uses patent-pending GlympseWatch(tm) technology that allows users to set a timer for how long they want to share their location, up to four hours. Once the Glympse expires, it’s over. A user may pause or cancel – or extend – a Glympse at any time.
