Gizmoz is a community of photo realistic 3D animated avatars founded by Eyal Gever in 2003. Their service creates 3D avatars based on 2D profile photos, which generates a moving, talking, fully 3D avatar.
Users can customize the look of their avatar using accessories from the site. Gizmoz can speak using text to speech audio synced to animations or voice recordings. These animations can be shared over the web through embedded video clips or posted to websites as widgets, also known as stickers, answering machines or video clips.
