Fwix is an activity aggregator, designed to show you the most relevant information and media in your local area. It collects and organizes the most popular news stories, events, photos, videos, and other chatter on the web in a Facebook-like news feed toolbar. As of August 2008 they aggregate nearly 500,000 news stories per day, delivering roughly 2,000 relevant news stories.
As of August 2008, Fwix serves 5 major cities: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston.
