Webs (formerly Freewebs) is a website creation service that lets users make fully functioning sites complete with several apps including blogs, photo albums, video galleries, calendars, and discussion forums. Users start by choosing from over 300 templates and can then add rich content and applications to their website via their WYSIWYG Sitebuilder.
Webs also offers features to turn a classic website into what they call a “Social Website”. Site owners can enable their visitors to become members of their site who can set up profiles and partake in social interaction through commenting and contributing content such as photos, videos, and blog entries to the site.
Webs has partnered with and integrated several third party applications including Picnik for online photo editing and GetClicky for webstats. Other partners include YouTube, Photobucket, Clearspring, Slide, and RockYou.
Also, if users are interested in ecommerce, Webs.com has a webstore app that integrates with online payment tools PayPal and Google Checkout.
