Depending on the flight distance and the duration of the delay you are entitled to a compensation. On annual basis airlines supposed to pay billions of euro’s but since air passengers are unknown to their rights this amount stays with the airlines. You can imagine that airlines don’t like pay and for that reason try to frustrate the procedure. Getting your money is quite a hassle. The European Parliament will intensify their attention for air passengers rights and will campaign later this year.

How much money should you get back from the airline, what are the criteria:
• for all flights of 1.500 kilometers or less EUR 250;
• for all intra-Community flights of more than 1.500
kilometers and for all other flights between 1.500 and
3.500 kilometers EUR 400; • for all other flights not falling under the first two bullets EUR 600.
