FireID produces an authentication system intended to simplify the process of establishing a secure connection to online resources. Specifically, FireID’s mobile application allows mobile phones to generate one-time-passwords on demand, replacing static passwords or cumbersome conventional authentication solutions.
When a user needs a password to login to a FireID protected resource, such as a Microsoft Windows login, a VPN, or a website, a new random one-time-password is generated by the user on their mobile phone instantaneously using the FireID token application. No SMS or Internet activity is required.
The FireID server, which can integrate directly into a variety of systems, networks and resources, authorizes the one-time-password when the user logs in. The password then expires immediately.
