FinFolio provides professional investment management software to investment advisors and money managers. FinFolio is creating a powerful open platform that will be extensible by licensed users, with full access to source code. The platform competes with Advent Axys/APX, Schwab PortfolioCenter, and Albridge; company founders were are some of the principals behind Techfi.
System features include multi-currency, specific lot accounting, DeepConâ„¢ error checking, benchmarks & composites, fixed income, options and futures, performance attribution, allocation models, fee billing, comprehensive cap gains tax accounting, and all standard portfolio management features.
FinFolio can use any database to store data, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and MySQL. The front-end user interface is being built in Microsoft’s new Silverlightâ„¢ 2.0 technology, and will run in a web browser or on the desktop, on Windows, Apple and Linux platforms.
FinFolio is committed to building an open platform, enabling firms to create customized solutions atop the FinFolio framework. The software is being developed as Open Source and released to clients under the Microsoft Shared Sourceâ„¢ license. Developers will be able to create custom interfaces, reports, rebalancing or billing modules, and other software extensions using a wide array of development tools.
