Exitround was created specifically for founders, as a tool to start a conversation between those looking to explore the option of a strategic outcome with those interested in potentially acquiring your company.
It was created by Jacob Mullins, an entrepreneur and a former venture capital investor in San Francisco, who during the course of his day meeting with entrepreneurs recognized a crucial disconnect across the landscape. On one side, there are numerous startups with incredibly talented teams who may be having difficulty finding product-market fit and raising a subsequent round of funding. On the other side, there are growing startups and large technology companies who are starved for talented teams; they are seeking experienced, strong people who have deep domain expertise and are interested in continuing their journey under a different flag.
Connecting portfolio companies with potential acquirers is a common practice with venture-backed companies; however, with the dramatic increase in early-stage companies the traditional channels for M&A are no longer sufficient. Thus the birth of Exitround, a simple solution to help founders connect with acquirers.
