Exchangehut started off as a local events tickets website in Madison, Wisconsin.

In 2006, Nathan Lustig, Corey Capasso, and JP Tucker transformed the business from a local tickets and textbooks trading site with under 2,000 users to a national business with over 125,000 users.

In 2007, Exchangehut made several acquisitions, including allMSU, TheWolfWeb, and The Diag to broaden its reach.

In 2008, Exchangehut was acquired by CDI America through its parent company, CDI Holdings, a Korean-based organization and a major enterprise leader producing and distributing one-of-a-kind ESL content for Asian communities.
