EventOrb is a social network for event promoters and organizers that provides the necessary tools for publishing, managing and marketing events on the internet.
The company puts a new spin on the old idea of online event promotion by automatically generating a theme-able modular website called the “Event Page” for every event that gets created by enrolled users and allowing other users to rate events they have attended, using a trademarked weighted average called the “Event GPA”. Promoters who use EventOrb accumulate a cumulative Event GPA over time, which provides a valuable insight into peoples’ opinions about the quality of their events.
Enrollment on EventOrb is however not limited to Event Promoters, as regular individuals and even venues can sign up to create and manage their events. Users can set the Events they create to private, protected by network privileges or password privileges depending on the organizer’s preference.
EventOrb provides a host of other features including a fluid event search interface, video and photo uploads, a contact address book that integrates Plaxo to help users import their contact list directly from their webmail accounts and Evite-style event invitations that can be customized and sent to contacts prior to an event.
